Par-Kour!
Attended my first parkour session today. =) I am really glad I did cause it showed me how un-fit I am since high school. Swimming is still fine but running around and doing jumps, it pretty much makes me tired.
Warmups was 10 push ups (I'm really bad at this), front and back crawling, standing hops over some seats (Imagine those seats at Stadium Tun Fatimah =P).
After that it was introductory to Parkour!
Did some wall jumps (just vaults, imagine a mixture of standing high jump and running jumps)
This is apparently a 'cat pass' in Manchester. Its just a name =) (Might be called differently somewhere else)
Another wall variation
Wall climbing! Didn't succeed the first time I try (Even with my height, it was 3~4 meters high I think). Bad fingers and hand strengh but I manage it after several attempts =). Gets pretty easy one you keep doing it. Got a bit of bruises on my palm though. It is to be expected! ^^
The only problem was when I was trying to get down on the other side. I am acophobic you see so I am afraid of heights. Wend well the first few seconds but I let gravity took hold of me too much (instead of gently lowering myself) and slammed into the wall (hands still holding the bar so I AM okay!) Maybe with more practise?
Did some wall kicking and hops as well. Frankly speaking I really like this thing. Looking forward to my next training.
Meanwhile its time to train my body strength!
