MIA

Nothing much, busy trying to study for Trials which so far been 1/2 productive and 1/2 unproductive. Still trying to achieve maximum efficiency.

** Note

" The author is currently trying his best not to flunk his trials due to a whole lot of distraction and laziness. Therefore, he will try his best to minimized his contact hours with the computer to prevent any further redundant web surfing and the game DotA. This results in not updating his blog for the next two weeks until his Trials is over. Thank You."

=) Odd things happen for a Good reason

Notice the date? It my birthday =). I wonder what would it be like, first day in London and first time turning 19. Besides for the first time, my birthday would be longer than 24 hours since UK is 8 hours behind us.

Trials starts next week... must study, must study, must study (chant this mantra in my head).

Wish me all the best ya?

Worry for nothing...

** Click on the picture to enlarge them.

Well these is the status of My UCAS Application

Did it a bit early in accepting the offers and declining them for the purpose of securing an accomodation ASAP. You guys know the terror in finding an accomodation in London right?

One month after I have applied, here comes the offer letter for my accomodation. Of all the odds, 130+ single room in Carr Saunders and 10 twin room and I got the twin room. I just hope this is an en suite twin room or else I'll die. =/ On the bright side, I have more money to spend. =)

I phoned Kak Muja to asked if Sime Darby could pay the deposit in advance for me, which she say she could in 2 weeks time. However the due date for the deposit is also in 2 weeks times so it has been kind of a rush.

The day before the dateline for the payment to be made, I phoned Kak Muja to ask her about the payment. Apparently Kak Intan and the secretary had both taken their leave and that the Board won't be free to approve it for another week.

In haste (and panic as well ) I wrote a letter to the Accommodation department of LSE, requesting for and extendtion , perhaps a longer time. Everythings gonna be fine Adrian, I told myself. They will get it done for you, so cheer up. However an hour later, Kak Muja phoned me saying that I will have to pay for it myself in advance and they will reinburse me later.

Chill, no hurries. But that wasn't all. My mum didnt apply for a security code = =" and it will take 2 weeks before we could get one. The payment couldn't be processed at all =/. I was so freaked out and was saying gosh this can't possibly happen. This is so not going according to plan.

So I tried again, entering the details as carefully as I can, ignoring the security code. Luckily on the 2nd attemp, it went through. Only later did I realise my mistake, I forgot to fill in one of the field which was marked * before this, my mum's name.

All the worrying and panicking for nothing. Huhu =/

Well at least they have replied to my e-mail. I'm now sure the payment has went through and I shall have a nice accomodation at Carr-Saunders Hall for my first year in LSE.

To think of it, I could avoid this mess if I just used my own money to pay for the deposit. But hey, why waste a thousand bucks where it could be claim rite. = =" That thinking almost got me into deep waters.

ps: I think I worry too much at times.

Its about time

Left my blog un-updated for almost a week now. Guess its time I scribbled on something over here.

So you must be wondering, what have I been doing after my trip to Perlis? I should have started studying but the temptation to go out and spend time with my friend is inevitable. Friday I went to Infinity with Chee Kit and John. Desmond and Jason were there training for the Inti Dota Tournament. We just helped them train. Played againts the players from Ice, they were good. In terms of communication and teamwork.

The next day I woke up, home alone! Without a message or anything. Was checking my mails and eating some food when Chee Kit called me.

Chee Kit : Eh Adrian, lu ai ki qua tournament bo?
Me : Ai, tuo chu pun bo ming kia cho eh.

And off I go towards Infinity Cyber cafe and watch the tournament. Apparently there was this one particular team, where Chee Kit beat them 26-2 using a  Death Prophet the day before. Turns out that team won all three matches the next day and went into the Finals. = =" Swt. We should have enter that tourney. At least we will get some cash out of it. That night I went for a sleepover at Chee Kit's house. Passed Farhanah her notes on the way there. At least some people are kiasuing, at least 2 hours per day, unlike me. The plan was to go hiking at Penang Hill and then go to Infinity and watch the Finals.

The next day the clouds were in grayish colour. We woke up at 8am and well, since it looked like it was going to rain, we went back to bed and postpone the trip later. Eventually we got up at 11am and went off to pick Kent up before heading towards Penang Hill. Monkeys were around as usual, begging for food. Those little rascal..

I won't elaborate further on the dotA finals. It wasnt even interesting. The 2nd team lost because of their draft pick, they had the most kills but their heroes werent strong enough to counter the winning team.

That night we had dinner at a chinese restaurant which is located on the opposite side of our housing area. The food was good and blimey it was costly as well. Well as Chee Kit say, my last dinner before going back to prison. Later that night I went to Chee Kit's hostel and helped him to clean up his room. John was MIA till 1.42am, when both Chee Kit and I were already fast asleep.

Apparently Chee Kit's room wasn't that much different from my room except that I have fans and a toilet with a shower. His lights were cooler though. You can change it from the bright fluorescent light to those orange dimmed lights. =) I suddenly though of buying a lava lamp and put by my bed side. The cheapest one I can find is RM50++ = =". Worth my money?

Went to TAR college but only saw the outside of the college. The food at the canteen was freaking cheap I tell you. Rice with 4 dishes is just RM2.40 (including chicken!). Where on earth can you get that nowadays.  We went to Queensbay after Chee Kit finished his classes. Kent brought his girlfriend along and we watched Race to Witch Mountain. Seriously I recommended it for all Disney Movies lover. Its childish but yeah, cool.

(**Note that the author is currently speaking on behalf of his childish behaviour.)

Oh yeah, did a bit of Economics today and well, I'm freaking lost in it. = =" I can only do 20 out of 30 questions for MCQ. That was not suppose to happen. Guess I better start studying now. Just several days to go.

One year has passed

I still can recall last year when I went to take my SPM result.. I travelled south, stayed with Megat for the night before heading to KYS the next day. Was happy and went to meet someone and had fun for the rest of the day.

This year instead of travelling south, I travel north instead. Called it an inverse function of my life =)

So to start of I woke up at 6am and left home at 6.30am. Apparently traffic was smooth and I arrived jetty at 7am, luck was on my side and I boarded the ferry straight away. Arrived Butterworth at 7.30am and yet again there was a bus to Alor Setar waiting for me and I departed immediately.

I tooked me around 1 hour and 20 minutes before I reached Alor Setar where I had to wait 30 minutes for my bus to Perlis. left Perlis at 9.20am and arrived at Kangar at 10am. Wee , I'm ahead of schedule. This is so much better than taking the direct bus at 9am and reaching at around 11.30am.

The ferry, early in the morning

Afeez picked me up and we went wandering around before going to SMK Derma. We thought of picking Piang up on the way but this piggy was still sleeping. I tooked me 11 miss calls before I finnaly gave up. And the worse part is, we got fined by JPJ for not having a P sticker = =" Screw you, that car was newly bought! (Somehow I still feel that I should share the guilt)

Next I went to SMK Derma where we went inside the hall. The teachers were announcing the top students in Perlis. 12 got straight A1s in Perlis and SMK Derma got 7 of them. 21 got straight As in that school. I am not sure whether this includes the straight A1s or not but who cares aite?

Heard a lot of them got A2 for Chinese Language. Swt, this is bad news indeed. (I won't elaborate further, further explainations can be found if you have read my previous post.)

Oh well, meet Lee Weei and Wong before I actually met Zhao Han. She was walking around at the canteen while me and Afeez were looking high and low for her. After walking up the block twice, we finnaly found her. =) She was as usual, although slightly different in a way which I won't mention (Due to the fact that my mum knows my blog now @@!! )

Finnaly I got a picture with Zhao Han, the one we took ages ago were lost.

We then went to Jitra to watch a movie, but the wasnt any interesting movies there to watch. The movie slots were so few that in the end, we went bowling instead

Piang and Kuda

Kuda in action

Apparently i got 101 for my first game but 60+ in my second game. Guess I was too tired from all the activities that day. Too add on, my eyes were drying up because of the contact lens I wore.

We then went to eat Zam's Char Kuey Teow. Its was tasty and different from our Penang Char Kuey Teow, defintitely the best of both world. Eventually we went to Alor Setar at 7.30pm where my bus to Butterworth will depart at 8pm.

While driving pass the Masjid , I recalled something. Ain't this guys haven't performed their prayers yet? !@#$%^&* and looking at the time contraint, this is bad! However they managed to get it done right on time. Something exciting and interesting happen in the car and mind you, its not for the pulic to see =), not even that nice pak cik inside his car parked near to us.

I arrived in the nick of time again to board my bus. =) Doze off during the ride due to being lethargic. Which was nice =)

At the ferry on the way back to Penang

Mua , at the Ferry.

Overall it was a fun and an enjoyable trip. On comparison with last year's trip, not much different in terms of satisfaction except I gain so much more for this trip. =)

Confession

I don't know is it love, or is it just a mind game. My mind is blur right now.... Am I in love or am I chasing dreams?

Back in Penang

To everyone I know in Penang, hell yeah I'm back in this blissful island. =)

Today i went for my haircut, wanted to get it trimmed but apparently my hairdresser says that he doesn't think my current hairstyle suits me, on today's note. Gosh, his mood = =". So right now I can't side my hair to the left or right, its short @@!!.

Then went to Queensbay mall to watch a Watchmen. Apparently the villain's name is Adrian. Haha.
Then went to survey some laptops and went to see some shirts and pants that I might be interested in. =) Not a bad day eh haha

Plans

Somehow I could keep my head straight during econs class. I kept on thinking that I should visit a school during this hols, just for old time sake. However, which school? Seri Permai is a must, KYS? Its not fun to go alone there, its weird I tell you. Sanjiv is probably still having class as he is in form 6. The rest are not on holiday so where?

And then it happen, I remember that AfeeZ was saying that he is going to visit his ex school, SMK Derma, *jolly good* I can join him, for fun. I'm killing 2 or more birds with a stone anyway. So its planned, Perlis next Monday at around 12pm we are going to visit his old school then we are going around Perlis. Some sight seeing I guess. I never realy explore Perlis during my orchestra tour thanks to Pn. Mazuin (Some people called her MoleZuin but I choose to say neutral FYI).

AfeeZ told me that it won't take more than a day since Perlis is so small and well, there is nothing much to see. However for me, I rather like those place which is less crowded. Penang its crowded everywhere. =(

Looking forward to it =), I want to see whats so good about that school that people say its Perlis Top School. I hope its just name and popularity like our dear PFS (No offence, I'm not reffering to the students, you know what I'm reffering to.)

Holidays starts in a week, 4 more days to be exact. Hopefully I can make full use of my 2 weeks holiday, priority no. 1, finish my project and documentation. Priority no.2 study study and study. =)

Got Bored

Apparently weekend was still with Dota and well boring. Forgot to get Microsoft Access 2003 from the technition so I was in perfect condition to procastinate, once again. Watch several movies (Stole some from Wan, thanks a lot xD). Azfar and Ken went to my room to watch 2 videos of Rusell Peters.

Notice the picture on top? Its a drama called Dragon Sakura. Its a story on how people from RyuZan High school with and average score of 36 (Gosh, thats bad) who is trying to go into Todai or Tokyo University *sigh* (It was one of my dream Uni back when I was still a Japanese fanatic. Now it kinda died off I guess =[ ) So far watch till eps 5 (2 am yesterday, which explained why I was in sleepy mood today.)

Watching that drama kinda inspire me to study hard. I hate the character Jiro in the drama. An arrogant smart ass who flunk his exams because of a girl friend. Worst of all he despise his brother in RyuZan which he regards as his useless twin. Quote "Mum and dad wish that Jiro was their only child, your such a nuisance when you keep trying. " What the fuck was that? Probably I shall look at this character as my potential future ignorant self, but this gives a clear warning on what I should not be in the future.

Ms. Zai cancelled her class, which gives obvious reason for me to post another entry. However, she is having a class at 8.15pm tonight to compensate this class. Lucky or unlucky? You decide.

Anyway I would like to say Happy Birthday to Low Kok Din  a.k.a Teddy =). Haha, got you there, you didn't expect anyone to actually know about that in college right?
